Beat the Heat…low cost spay & neuter is back! Caswell Pet Lifeline operates Planned Pethood low cost spay/neuter services on the 3rd Monday of each month. Medical services are performed by the Humane Society of the Piedmont in Greesnsboro. Costs can be as low as $20 for those who qualify. Call 336-388-2805 for information and reservations.
Cost: $50 for cats and $65 for dogs, there is a surcharge for pets over 70 pounds
Please note: Aid is available for those on disability, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, or income up to 125% of the Federal poverty level. Costs could be $20 or lower for those who qualify. Call 336-388-2805 for more financial aid information.
Required: Paper copy of pets rabies vaccination certificate (tag is not sufficient)
An extra $10 will be charged for all pets without proper rabies paperwork
How: Pets travel in individual carriers in a heated, air conditioned truck starting from Yanceyville at the Food Lion Shopping Center (by McDonald’s) at Hwy 86 & 158 at 8:00 am. on the 3rd Monday of each month. After surgery the pet will spend the night on a clean, dry surface for the surgical glue to dry under vet observation, and return to Yanceyville on the following Tuesday morning at 10:00 am.
Please note: Pet carriers will be provided for owners who do not have them.
Some extra services and vaccines are also available for extra cost.
